I had a great massage at Melt Massage with someone. I went to rebook and she wasn’t available as soon as I wanted a massage. I randomly went with whoever was free next. That was when I met Aleks. I don’t know if I can properly express my gratitude in language. His intuitive nature is unparalleled and maybe just from our immediate comfort around each other I didn’t question any of his impulses. As a trans man sometimes I feel all the awkward feelings in a massage room. But Aleks didn’t even blink and was very excited and available talking about how scar tissue can affect back movement and so much more. He found that we worked very well together with Tua Na and I just let him do his thing. As soon as we finished our first session I immediately rebooked him. I went as many times as I could before he moved to Long Island. I even now will drive an hour and 45 minutes one way to have a session with him. To trust someone with your body and to help you rediscover pathways that seem blocked can be profoundly exciting and open up many feelings. Every time we meet I feel like I am in better communication and connection to my body on not just a physical comfort level but on a level of expanding the possibility of my own movement on physical and spiritual levels. We trade book ideas and he follows up beyond a typical “hope you’re well” but on a more deep practice that with my greater knowledge of my body can only improve his own practice in helping me achieve fluidity.. We once had a session where as he worked on one area and I felt a response in another he would follow my own body's guidance. It was incredible and exciting to me that he is someone working with healing by using the greatest guide ever…the person he is working on. I can’t recommend him enough and his book recommendations. I look forward to a long time of working together. And trust that he will work as far as I want to take my body’s capabilities to even greater capacities.
